Privacy Policy

Effective: June 9, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Luxcarib ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the Site. We do not sell personal information. We do not require an account to use the Site.

2. Information we collect automatically

When you visit Luxcarib, we automatically collect:

  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, screen size, and referring URL.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, search queries (destination, check-in/check-out dates, traveler count), clicks on hotel cards and "Book Now" buttons.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for details.

3. Information you provide

You may voluntarily provide information by emailing us, subscribing to a newsletter, or completing a form. We collect only what you choose to share (e.g., your email address and the contents of your message).

4. How we use information

  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site;
  • To measure aggregate traffic and engagement (e.g., which destinations are popular);
  • To attribute affiliate referrals to bookings made through our links;
  • To respond to messages you send us;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

5. Service providers we share information with

We share limited data with the following third parties strictly to operate the Site:

  • Vercel Web Analytics — cookie-free, aggregate usage analytics (pageviews, top pages, search events). No personal identifiers are stored. See Vercel's privacy policy.
  • Stay22 — when you click an outbound "Book Now" link, Stay22 logs the click to attribute affiliate commissions and may set its own cookies. See Stay22's privacy policy.
  • Booking partners (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, and others reached through Stay22) — once you arrive at their site to complete a reservation, their privacy policies apply.
  • LiteAPI — hotel content and availability data is requested from LiteAPI servers; the request includes your selected destination and dates but not your identity.
  • Hosting and infrastructure — the Site is hosted on Vercel (frontend) and Railway (backend), which receive standard server logs.
  • Sentry — application error monitoring, which receives error messages and limited request context to help us diagnose bugs.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

6. Legal bases (for visitors in the EU/UK)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar laws, we process your data on the basis of: (i) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Site; (ii) your consent, where required (such as for non-essential cookies); and (iii) compliance with legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. California residents have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (Luxcarib does not sell personal information, and does not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising). Residents of the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions have rights under the GDPR and equivalent laws. To exercise any right, contact us via our contact page.

8. Retention

Aggregated analytics data (Vercel Web Analytics) is retained for up to one year for trend analysis. Server logs are kept for short operational periods. Email correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond.

9. Children

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Luxcarib is operated from the United States. If you visit the Site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

11. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the Site, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is fully secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

13. Contact

Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent via our contact page.
